Henia's Salon and Day Spa Polies

Welcome to Henia's Salon and Day Spa. We offer a variety of services to meet your beauty and relaxation needs. In order to ensure each and every client is able to fully enjoy their services, we ask your cooperation with our policies. We know you will have a pleasant experience with us as we strive to be your favorite Salon and Day Spa in Boston.

Spa Etiquette

To be courteous and preserve a peaceful experience for our guest, we ask that you turn off all cell phones and pages.

As a family friendly salon, we welcome children for haircuts in the salons. To maintain a relaxing atmosphere, children under 18 may not be left attended.

For the comfort and safety of all of our guests, please do not bring pets into our salon and spa. As always, service animals are welcome at any time.

Appointments

Appointments are recommended for all salon and spa services. We recommend making appointments at least one week in advance, so that your choice of time and technician can be more easily accommodated. To schedule an appointment, please call us directly at 617-523-8800. Appointments may be scheduled via phone only. If we are unable to answer because it is outside of business hours or we are occupied with other clients, please leave a message and we will return your call. For all first time customers or group reservations, we will require a valid credit card to secure all reservations.

Walk-ins are also welcome. Walk-in appointments will be on a first come first serve basis. If the desired stylist is otherwise occupied, clients must remain in the salon until the next available appointment. Leaving the salon will result in forfeiture of the opening to the next client waiting.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. We require 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a single service, exclusive of massage services, which require a minimum 48 hours’ notice for cancellation (See below for exceptions). Cancellations and "No Show" appointments cost our talented staff money. To avoid this, we reserve the right to ask for a guaranteeing credit card on any service, and/or charge 50% of the value of a booked service if sufficient cancellation notice is not provided. Clients who cancel without sufficient notice or "No Show" appointments may be asked to prepay future services.

Massage Services, Group Bookings, Spa Packages, Multiple Reservations

We require a 50% nonrefundable deposit at the time of booking for massage services, parties of three or more, spa packages, and multiple service reservations. Cancellations made less than twelve (12) calendar days prior to a scheduled appointment (excluding massages, which only require 48 hours' notice) will result in the full cost of the scheduled service(s) being billed to the guaranteeing credit card.

Payments

Henia's Salon and Day Spa accepts Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Henia's Salon and Day Spa Gift Certificates. Gratuities may not be put on credit cards. Payments are due at the time of service.

Return Policy

If for any reason you are unsatisfied with a product purchased at Henia's Salon and Day Spa, return the unused portion (must be at least 80% unused) within seven (7) days with the original receipt for an exchange or store credit. Hair pieces and custom wigs are not returnable or refundable.

Gratuities

Gratuity is not included in the price of any service or package. At your discretion, gratuities are graciously accepted. Gratuity may not be put on a credit card.

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates are available for any service, package, or product, as well as specific dollar amounts. Should there be a price increase after your gift certificate is issued, you will not be responsible for the difference as long as you are redeeming that certificate within 1 year of the issue date. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other Henia's Salon and Day Spa gift certificates. Discounts, promotions, and/or coupons are not valid towards purchasing gift certificates. Purchases that exceed the amount of the gift certificates must be paid for at the time of redemption. Henia's Salon and Day Spa is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. Lost or stolen certificates are nonrefundable or replaceable. Gift certificates may not be returned for cash value.

Late Arrival

Please be aware that arriving late will limit the time of your service, which may reduce the effectiveness and enjoyment of the service. Late arrivals for spa services will not receive an extension and will be responsible for the entire service fee. Depending on the service and the availability of the staff, if a customer is more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled appointment and there is not a reasonable expectation of finishing on time, the appointment may have to be rescheduled.

Quality Service Policy

We strive to give our customers as much attention and comfort as we can, as well as provide them with the best service possible. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the quality of any service, please notify us immediately and we will gladly re-perform the service to your satisfaction immediately or within three (3) days of the original service. No cash or credit card refunds will be given on any services.

All hair service clients will be informed of the condition, quality, and any damage or disorders found in their hair and/or scalp (if any). Please do not apply any chemicals, heat, tools, or blow dry your hair prior to hair service(s) unless instructed by your stylist.

Chemical services cannot be guaranteed, if straightening or bleaching were performed at home or another salon. Please advise your stylist of any allergies, medical conditions, or medications you are taking at the time of service.

Product Home Care

Continued results are achieved through daily use of professional products at home. Your technician can recommend a home car regimen to maintain your results between visits.

Pricing

All prices are subject to change without notice. Any discount, promotional offer, or coupon may not be combined with any other discount, promotional offer, or coupon unless otherwise specified.

Weddings

For services scheduled for your special day, a 50% nonrefundable deposit will be billed at the time of booking. The balance will be billed to the guaranteeing credit card two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled service.

Preparing for the Spa

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Therefore, please do not bring valuables with you to the salon or spa. We recommend you avoid eating for at least 90 minutes prior to your scheduled service for your comfort.

If receiving a body wrap or polish, we suggest you not shave for a minimum of 8 hours prior to service in order to avoid skin irritation. For men's facial's we recommend you not shave for a minimum of 2 hours prior to service.

Therapeutic Massage

All massages are therapeutically oriented. Massage therapists are there to provide a relaxing, therapeutic experience. Any and all sexual remarks, gestures or advances will result in the immediate termination of a session without refund. The total value of scheduled services will be due immediately upon termination of service.

Health Considerations

Your well being and comfort is our ultimate priority. Clients must keep their therapists updated as to any changes in medical history, recent surgical procedures, illnesses, skin conditions, medications, or any other relevant medical changes. If clients forget to do so or withhold information, the spa cannot be held responsible or liable. Massage should not be used as a substitute for medical examination or treatment.

Referral Program

We are confident that you will enjoy your experience at Henia's Salon and Day Spa and we want you to share your experience with your family and friends. For this reason, we are delighted to offer a referral incentive of $10.00 off any future service for the referrer.

Privacy Statement

Henia's Salon and Day Spa respects the privacy of online visitors. We may use "Cookies" or similar technology to obtain non-personal information from visitors (for example, to count the total number of visitors to this site).

We do not acquire personal information about individually identifiable visitors unless it is voluntarily submitted. Personal information that is voluntarily submitted is not sold, transferred, or otherwise disclosed to unrelated entities, unless required by law. Only visitors who request email would receive email.

We reserve the right to modify this policy, and we recommend that you check this page from time to time for changes.
